Vivo Apex was one of the most talked-about terminals of the MWC in 2019. Surrounded by notch everywhere, it was the only one that really fulfilled the “all-screen” premise, with a 98% ratio. The concept liked it so much that it became a reality, although with another name, Vivo Nex. You could think that this was the end of Vivo Apex … and we would be wrong. There will be new Vivo Apex. Since a few days, Vivo hints a new flagship which was initially as, Waterdrop. Now, finally, the Vivo Apex 2019 arrives on January 24th.
No More Buttons And Notch
Taking into account that Vivo Nex has evolved on its own in the Vivo Nex Dual Display, it seems that the company reserves the name Apex for the craziest concepts. In this case, it seems that the emphasis is on the overall design of the terminal. We don’t know much about as it has managed to evade leaks and certifications, but all sights are set on the design of that “Water Drop” terminal.
This design has been made by Ice Universe filtering as a crazy design that will change the perceptions of people. Personally, it seems a bit too much, but it will be interesting to see what Vivo has prepared to surprise us this time.
From the terminal itself, we have not seen anything except a few corners, “filtered” by Ice Universe and that give us more clues about that enveloping design. It is rumored that it might not have any buttons, notch or borders, using instead a system of gestures and pressure sensitive frames.
From few rumors, we can expect that it will arrive with 8 GB of RAM in a “basic” version and others of 10 and 12 GB, with Snapdragon 855 and a fingerprint reader with an expanded area as recently announced by Xiaomi. We do not have much left to clear up the incognito: it will be official on January 24.
