As WhatsApp and its video calls have become quite popular, Skype continues to rival and is one of the most-used apps to communicate with our friends. In fact, it is not uncommon that from time to time it is updated with new functions. Now, following the trend of other apps, Skype received the dark mode feature.
The feature is implemented in version 8.52, which is now available on Google Play and App Store. And it doesn’t come alone, but it is also possible to schedule a group call. From the company, they say that “the new functions will be implemented gradually in the next few days”. That is, if you do not see any of them yet, it will be a matter of time before do.
How To Activate Dark Mode In Skype?
As we said, the main feature of Skype version 8.52 is the dark mode. Activating it is very simple, just follow these steps:
- In the “Chats” section, touch your profile picture.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Enter “Appearance.”
- In “Modes“, select the dark mode.
An interesting point is that, if you did not have the app installed and install it now, just start it. It will ask you what mode you want to use. Also, if you select the “System settings” option, Skype will activate and deactivate the dark mode when we activate or deactivate it on our mobile. Obviously, this function is only in iOS 13 and Android 10.
In addition, the option to “Schedule a call“, is now available for chats. To do this, just open any chat, press the “+” button, select “Schedule call“, choose the date, time. And choose when you want to receive the notification and send it to the contact.
We found that these two functions are available on Skype 8.52. So if you are using Skype on your Android or iOS, check out the App Store and Google Play to see whether you have the new version available or not.
