Samsung announces its intention to make the world a better place by supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These are 17 objectives that aim to solve a wide range of issues concerning economic and social development, such as poverty, hunger, health, education.
To increase the level of awareness and commitment on its users, Samsung has therefore created an app namely, Global Goals. It can inform itself about the 17 objectives and contribute to the cause that feels closest or important. Once downloaded and opened, the application shows the objectives in graphic form. Each one is accompanied by an explanation of its meaning, static data to support and all the information necessary to understand the problem.
Once you have listed up, you can choose whether to make a donation – which may be a one-off or monthly fee. Or activate advertisements through which Samsung will collect money that will be donated for the purpose you choose. If you feel particularly willing towards the cause, you can also activate the ads on the lock screen, further contributing to fundraising.
The app is available in Google PlayStore, but it is limited to a few users and devices only. It will be pre-installed in the Galaxy Note 10, while the various notice 9 / 8 and Galaxy S10 / 9 / 8 can also install it via Galaxy Store.
