Sliding smartphones and rotating smartphones are already known….. But today, Samsung hits hard by officializing the Galaxy A80 which by the combination of these two designs. As you can see on the video below, thanks to the sliding device, similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the Galaxy A80 has a borderless screen without notch or hole.

And thanks to its sliding mechanism, the camera uses the same camera for taking rear pictures and selfies. When the user wants to take selfies, it is the three cameras on the back that turn inside the sliding element. The first sensor is a 48-megapixel sensor (F2.0), the second is a 3D sensor for depth and the third is a wide angle camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A80’s Super AMOLED display is imposing, covers almost the front face and has no holes or notches: a design that the manufacturer calls “New Infinity Display“. The screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches and displays a full HD + resolution (1080 x 2400).

For the rest of the data sheet, we have the configurations of an intermediate range device, with an Octa-Core processor (Dual 2.2GHz + Hexa 1.7GHz), an 8GB RAM, internal storage of 128GB and a battery of 3700 mAh. The back is glass while the sides are metal. It also includes an on-screen fingerprint reader.

With this Galaxy A80 is out of ordinary, the manufacturer reports that it is still able to counter Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo or Vivo, who constantly bring new types of design in the smartphone market. Eventually, after taking its first steps on the Samsung Galaxy A80, the rotating camera and sliding could eventually land on one of its upcoming high-end smartphones.

Also, the Galaxy A80 is predicted to cost nearly $730…Let’s wait until it reaches India……
