Boston Dynamics, an engineering and robotics company dedicated to the development and construction of robots. The company seems to have finally materialized, its robot dog. They have given an advance of their capabilities through an advertisement, although we found it for a long time.

Apart from specifications, SPOT will move at a speed of 1.6 meters per second and weigh upto 14Kgs. Thanks to a propulsion system supported by a rechargeable battery. It can be replaced by a new one, giving it a 90-minute autonomy.

Its legs are designed with traction that allows to travel surfaces of all kinds and can reach hard places. In case of a fall, Spot can stand up on its own, even if it falls on its side.

With regard to their vision, Spot has a whole arsenal of sensors and stereo cameras that provide a 360-degree view of the entire area. Thus it facilitates its movement and avoid obstacles to reach the destination, and completely trace the route it follows.

Pretty sure, this robot will not be available for individual users, only for companies, which must fill out a form on the Boston Dynamics website. Parallel to this release, Boston Dynamics has published a new video showing Atlas which is the humanoid robot. Since it was released by the company a few years ago, caught the attention of the public due to the number of tasks it can perform.

Now the video records Atlas doing what appears to be a gymnastics routine. It highlights the progress made by Boston Dynamics with this robot over the course of these 10 years.+
